Theo Walcott and Chuba Akpom scored the second and third goals for the Gunners before Kelechi Iheanacho’s consolation goal.
Arsenal held on for a 3-2 win to end their pre-season in good heart, but the game was slightly overshadowed by the late injury to Gabriel who collided with Kelechi Iheanacho in stoppage time as both players battled for a loose ball and it took almost six minutes for Gabriel to be treated on the leg injury in the field before being stretched off.
Gabriel joins Welbeck and Per Mertesacker on injury list.
Arsenal will face Liverpool in their 2016-2017 league opener.
In other news, Manchester United defeated the reigning English Premier League champions Leicester City 2-1 to win a record 21 Community Shield title on Sunday at Wembly Stadium.
