Arsenal To Face South Africa In The Durban International Under-19 Final.

The Durban International Under 19 Tournament has reached its climax in Durban, South Africa, as the two finalists have been found.

The final which will take place on Saturday, will be hosted at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi which will also be preceeded with the third place play-off between TP Mazembe and Sporting Lisbon.

The tournament’s defending champions, Arsenal, beat TP Mazembe 3-0 on Sunday at Moses Mabhida while South Africa thumped Sporting Lisbon 3-0 to book their places in the final.

The junior Gunners from England took the lead midway through the first half through Donyell Malen powerful header leaving the Congolese team in dilema.

They scored their second and third goals in the second half. Eddie Nketiah scored the second goal for the Gunners through a penalty and ten minutes later Stephy Mavididi sealed the victory.

Their finalists opponents, South Africa Under 19 saw off their opponents Sporting Lisbon from Portugal with three brilliant goals.

South Africa scored their goals through Kobamelo Kodisang who scored a brace and the third goal was scored by Khanyisa Mayo.

South Africa will be looking forward to win the first under 19 trophy while Arsenal will do everything to defend it.

Arsenal won the trophy last year after beating PSV Eindhoven taking the reigns from Santos of Brazil who won it in 2014.

The organisers of the tournament have announced that doors of the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi will be open to everyone which means entry will be free.
