Actor and comedian Bill Cosby has been ordered to stand trial on charges of asexual assault. Cosby 78, is accused of drugging and molesting a former employee Ms Andea Constand in his home next Philadelphia.
“I think of Mr Cosby as a friend and a mentor,” Ms Constand said before she said he made unwanted sexual advances.
She went to visit him at his home in 2004 where she claims he drugged and sexually assaulted her.
The case was reopened last year after after more than 40 woman came forward with similar accusations. No trial date has been set.
Mr Cosby in a statement read in court said that Ms Constand never told him to stop during the encounter.
Mr Cosby is best know for his role as a father in the television hit “The Cosby show” which ran from 1984 to 1992.
Mr Cosby is facing civil lawsuits in other states over accusations of sexual assaults and is free on $1 million bail.
