By Nicole Hensley: A Tennessee police officer was indicted on multiple sex charges Monday accusing him of raping a woman and assaulting another during traffic stops.
Officer Christopher Odom, 26, is no longer with the Spring Hill Police Department following an internal probe alleging he sexually assaulted at least two women during traffic stops in June and July.
A grand jury returned indictments charging Odom with one count of sexual battery, one count of rape and two counts of official misconduct.
He was arrested and jailed on Monday, but Odom has since been released from custody after posting $75,000 bond, according to jail records.
Odom, a former Marine, joined the Spring Hill police force in 2013.
Spring Hill is located about 30 miles south of the Tennessee capital of Nashville.
