Speculations about Vardy to leave the English Premier League champions, Leicester City, have been proved wrong by the King Power club. There were rumours that clubs have been sniffing their noses on the premier league star who scored 24 goals in the premier league to go the other way round.
The English Barclays champions, Leicester City have struck another blow to the teams which were looking for a signature of Jamie Vardy who has extended his contract with the champions.
Jamie Vardy was the leading man in the Leicester City camp and his goals propelled Claudio Ranieri’s troops to clinch the most important trophy in their football history.
The English top goal scorer in the 2015-2016 season was linked with a move to Arsenal.
“Leicester City have agreed with the representatives of Jamie Vardy to extend the England international’s contract with the premier league champions for further four years”, said the club.
The announcement will end the recent rumours regarding Jamie’s future and confirm long term commitment to Leicester City football club.
There were fears that the departure of the prolific striker would make other key players to leave the club and join other clubs this coming season.
