Despite calls from fans that Arsenal executives should make some changes in coaching department, there is a twist of events at Emirates.
According to the club’s Chief Executive, Ivan Gazidis, he said Arsene Wenger will not leave the club anytime soon.
“Wenger will not be leaving the club anytime soon. We have bigger plans for him and for the club and we hope Arsene can deliver what our supporters expect”, said Ivan.
Ivan further said Wenger will be coaching Arsenal again next season and plans for his long term stay at Arsenal are being put in place.
The 66 year old Frenchman has one year remaining on his current contract and it has not been extended yet.
Since he took the reigns at Arsenal in 1996, he has led Arsenal to a top four finish every season but he has been facing critics from the fans across the globe for not winning trophies more especially the premier league which he last won in 2004.
In a related development, the Manchester long serving star, Ryan Giggs, will be leaving Manchester United for the first time after spending 29 years at Old Trafford.
Giggs to leave Man U.
Ryan has served as a player, interim player manager after taking over from David Moyes who was sacked after poor performance in 2014, and he has also worked as an assistant coach under the then sacked Dutchman, Louis Van Gaal.
Reports from England say that Giggs will not have a place in Mourinho’s books who has been announced as the new head coach at Old Trafford. Mourinho will come with his own management team to Old Trafford in the up coming season.
