History has been made in Europe, Britain exiting from the European Union and the resignation of the British Prime Minister, David Cameron.
Just after few hours of voting out from the European Union, the British Prime Minister, David Cameron has resigned with immediate effect from his position as a prime minister of Britain.
His resignation has come as a shock to the political after he previously announced he will lead Britain until October before stepping down.
In his statement, Cameron said its time for Britain to have a new, vibrant and fresh leadership which will stand firm in negotiating the issues of exiting the European Union
The ex-prime minister said the results obtained at the referendum which took place on Thursday, 23rd June 2016, was the will of the British people.
“I think its time for me to step down and give a chance to fresh leadership which will steer the negotiations of the country’s exit from the EU. I don’t think it would be fair for me to captain the steers of our country to its destination. I love Britain and I will keep on supporting my country”, said Cameron.
David Cameron was supporting the remain campaign during the referendum but unfortunately his team lost the votes.
