The Football Association of Malawi (FAM), has postponed the Carlsberg cup quarterfinal match between Mafco and Nyasa Big Bullets which was scheduled to take place on Saturday at Chitowe in Dwangwa over security fears after three Bullets players were heavily beaten and injured by Mafco players.
The three players, Fisher Kondowe, Niyikiza Aimable and Chimwemwe Kumkwawa have been injured in a free for all fight between MAFCO and Big Bullets players in Dwangwa.
According to the findings made by News Watch Reviews, it is alleged that MAFCO informed the Football Association of Malawi ( FAM) that they will not give Nyasa Bullets access to the Chitowe ground which the later was supposed to use for their training session.
Mafco players claimed that Nyasa Bullets did the same thing when they wanted to use their home ground for training during the league game, however they were denied access to it.
FAM has since shifted the game to next week and it will take place at Civo Stadium.
