Having a dry or dark underarms, neck, knee or elbow can be stressing. But still, so many people have to bear the shame of having to expose part of the skin that is dark, either a dark neckline, a dark underarms, a dark elbows and a dark knees.
These issues can cause someone to be really uncomfortable when in public places.
These conditions of having dark parts on the skin are usually caused by body coloration issue known as acanthosis nigricans, maturing and subjection to sunrays.
The skin around the arms and knees is normally fuller and known to have a larger number of retracts than other areas of the skin.
These areas of the skin gets more drier by the season, or just because there is no oil applied to it, which causes dryness. If this is not tackled, in less time those areas of like elbows and knees becomes drier and darker than others parts of the skin.

Remedies for the dark neck
Aloe Vera method
Use any method to take out the Aloe Vera gel from the leaf, apply it on the affected areas of the dark neck, and gentle rub around the dark neck, allow it settle/ or suck in for at least 20 minutes, then wash off the Aloe Vera with water. To get a quick result repeat the method every day until the dark skin around the neck disappears.
Baking soda method
Blend three sections of baking soda and one part with water to make a thick paste, apply it on the dark neck and let it dry up, after about 10 – 20 minutes wash the dry paste out. My advice is to repeat this process at least twice a week.
Make a mixture of blended lemon and potato juice together, apply it on the affected dark neck skin and let it to settle in for at least 10 – 15 minutes then wash it off with water. For a positive result repeat the method every day. You can also use only a blended potato juice to eliminate dark neckline.
Remedies for dark elbows and knees
Get some lemon and squeeze out the juice, rub the lemon juice on the dark elbows and dark knees continuously for about 5 minutes, let the lemon juice stay there for about 20 minutes before washing it out with some warm water. Another option is to squeeze out the lemon juice from one lemon and mix it with one spoon of honey, rub it around the dark areas of the elbows and knees, wash it out in about 20 minutes with water
Sugar granules are known to help peel dead skin cells off and also help to soothe the skin. To prepare this, get an exact or near measurement of sugar and olive oil, mix it until it becomes a thick paste, rub the mixture on the affected dark knees and elbows for about 5 minutes, then wash it off after 20 minutes with warm water. You repeat this method every day.
Apply warm almond oil around the knees and elbow for 5 minutes before going to bed every day. You can also blend 1 or 2 spoons of powdered almond, add some yogurt to make a reasonable thick paste, rub it on the dark elbows and dark knees and let it dry for some reasonable time then wash it off with water. You can repeat this method every day until you see visible results.
Remedies for dark underarms
Lemon is known to whitens and eliminate dead cells, cucumber is known to create a cooling impact, while turmeric prevents staining. Blend a mixture of lime juice with cucumber juice, add turmeric juice to it and rub it to the dark underarms. Also, just cutting some cucumber and rubbing it on your dark underarms will work just fine.
Blend a mixture of 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 tablespoon of curd and 1 tablespoon of flour to a paste, rub the mixture to your dark underarms, and then wash it out after 20 minutes water.
