A priest who is said to be in his eighties was slain with a knife on Tuesday and another hostage was seriously wounded by the Islamic State assailants who launched an atrack on a church in the northern part of France.
French Police said that the priest’s throat was slit by the two assailants who were both shot dead by the police.
French President, François Hollande condemned the attacks and he said his country should use all means to fight the Islamic State which has been launching attacks almost all over the world.
“This is a war now, this is a dreadful attack on our people, France should use all means in its war against the militant group”, said the president.
The Islamic State claimed the responsibility of the attacks in France after firming two of its soldiers who carried out the attacks.
“This is another test for us, the threat of attacks in our country still remains high and we need to take action as soon as possible”, concluded Hollande.
The attack is the latest in a string of horrible attacks in Europe after the mass killings in Nice and on Bastille Day celebrations in the country where more than eighty – four people were killed.
