Five United Nations peacekeepers have been killed and one seriously injured in an attack in central Mali.
According to BBC reports, the soldiers who were from ‘Togo were travelling in the Mopti region when their vehicle came under fire before hitting a landmine.’
No group has come open to have carried the attack.
However militants have been mounting sporadic assaults on peacekeepers in northern and central regional including the country’s capital Bamako.
Meanwhile Mali has been unstable since French troops intervene in the civil war in the country and change has never been easy for the Malian people.
