In order to enable the Malawi football coach Ronny Van Geneugden to monitor foreign based players plying their trade in the South African league, MultiChoice Malawi has donated an Explora Decoder to Malawi National Foot ball team.
The free subscription decorder will give the coach an opportunity to watch and record international matches involving Flames opponents in the forthcoming 2019 AFCON qualifiers and Cosafa Cup.
Speaking at the presentation, FAM Commercial and Marketing Director Limbani Matola said the Association applauded the gesture from MultiChoice Malawi for accepting this strategic partnership.
“This is a strong statement that the private sector in Malawi is keen to contribute towards football development in this country. It underlines the fact that the responsibility of the national team is a collective one and not just for the government”, he said.
He further said they are looking forward to more of these strategic partnerships. And within few days from now they will be announcing similar type of partnerships.
“The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) remains vigilant and steady fast to secure as many partners as possible towards the overall football development in this country,” said Matola.
