Police Launches Manhunt To Arrest Murderers Of A Motorbike Taxi Operator In Mchinji

Malawi Police in Mchinji district have instituted an intensive manhunt to arrest unknown criminals who mercilessly murdered a 47 year old motorbike taxi operator.

The deceased Steve Kasakula who hailed from Dulira village in the area of Traditional Authority Mlonyeni in Mchinji district was found dead in a decomposed state at Kayesa village in the Traditional Authority Zulu in the district on October 16, 2016.

“The deceased was doing a motorbike taxi business within Mchinji district and he was reported missing on October 12 this year. It believed that his unregistered SAN LG motorcycle was hired or kidnapped by the murderers before meeting his fate”, said Mchinji Police Puplist Inspector Kaitano Lubrino.

Following the development the police and members of the general public mounted search parties to trace his whereabouts, only to discover his body lying dead in a garden about 30 metres from Kayesa-Ntondo earth road.

Postmortem examinations conducted by medical experts from Mchinji District Hospital revealed that death was due to haemorrhage.

Meanwhile the police is appealing to the general public to report to police any information leading to the arrest of these criminals.
