The President of the coalition party, NASA, Raila Odinga will address Kenyans on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Nakuru Town. This is going to be the first public rally of the National Super Alliance (NASA) since he was handed the Opposition coalition flag to carry to the General Election which will take place in August this year.

The alliance is made up of the member parties of the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (Cord), the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) led by Raila Odinga, Wiper Democratic Movement of Kalonzo Musyoka and the Forum for the Restoration of Democracy (Ford) Kenya led by Moses Wetang’ula – and the Amani National Congress led by Musalia Mudavadi.

The rally will start at midday at the Afraha Grounds, outside the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru Town.

The opposition leader who is currently touring Israel, told Kenyan media that he will arrive in the Kenya tomorrow ready for the auspicious event.

“NASA takes the Sunday rally as a major event and a game changer in the elections scheduled for August. The Afraha rally will herald a wind of change that will shape the race all the way to August”, said Odinga.

“As NASA leaders, we extend an invitation to residents of all political persuasions to attend the meeting that will give a new direction for the country”.

The NASA coalition has described the ruling gvernment as a corruption regime and a self serving administration driven by a greed for inflated tenders and deals which brings Kenya to its knees.

“Meanwhile, our young people are idling in the streets jobless; unable to buy basic food items such as unga and milk for their families”, said Raila.

He concluded by saying that NASA has put forward a policy that proposes to completely ban government employees from doing business with government and they will stamp out corruption and return the country back to Kenyans.
