Samsung said on Friday that it had found an issue with the battery in a portion of the phones and was stopping deals. In the coming weeks it will offer clients another item for nothing to supplant every one of the 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7s that have been sold.
South Korean news agency Yonhap had beforehand reported that there have been five cases the world over of Note 7s caught fire while charging. Unsubstantiated photographs posted on social media demonstrated charred gadgets.
Samsung, a giant South Korean company, said it had been alarmed to 35 cases of flawed phones globally. It said it had so far discovered 24 gadgets with issues for every million sold.
The arrangements to review the phones are relied upon to take around two weeks. At a news conference, company executives declined to comment on precisely the amount of supplanting every one of the gadgets would cost.
