The president and leader of the Democratic Alliance, Mmusi Maimane has lambasted the African National Congress (ANC ) for visiting his parent’s home in Dobsonville during their campaign.
Mmusi’s sentiments came after the ANC visited his parents home during their door to door campaign while he was on the campaign trail in the Eastern Cape.
“Why did they decide to send their heavyweights and their supporters to my parent’s home in Dobsonville? I surely know that they went there to intimidate my family because what they did is not justifiable ” said Maimane.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) leader said the ruling party is playing mind games which shows that they are desperate and scared of the main opposition party.
“This party is now desperate and scared of us, this shows that they cannot handle the pressure they are in, no one will extinguish this fire, we will lit it untill the voting day”, he said.
He further told the community members of his home town Dobsonville that a lot of metros are slipping away from them, and their desperation has made them to start playing their cheap stunts.
“The DA will not be intimidated by their stunts, we are stronger than ever. The African National Congress (ANC) is bracing tough times within and outside the party”, he concluded.
The rivalry between the two parties is growing almost everyday. These campaigns which are taking place in the country are for upcoming Local Government elections which will take place next month.
