Three Men Arrested For Engaging Under Aged Girls In Sexual Immoralities.

Despite series of community sensitizations and awareness against the dangers and legal complications on early marriages and sexual immoral exploitations conducted by Mchinji Police Station, three people from the district are in police custody after police investigations established that the trio were keeping in the same house (block) three minors with an aim of making love with them.

According to Mchinji Police Publist Kaitano Lubrino said the revelation and breakthrough was made on November 5, 2016 when law enforcers who were investigating a similar case in which a certain woman lodged a complaint concerning the missing of her daughter whom according to her strongly believed and suspected the victim to have joined men.

“It was during this assignment when the Police was tipped about the three young girls who are learners at Kamuzu Primary School and were being harboured in one house within Robert 4 village in the area of traditional authority Zulu in Mchinji”, said Kaitano.

The girls who are in standard 3, 5, and 6 respectively and are under the age of fifteen were indeed traced by police and were found doing gumbling in the said house.

He added, “the information we have gathered indicates that the girls are living with single parent as a result of either divorce or death made their lives unbearable”.

“A chips cooker and two others who work as waiters at a certain lodge within Mchinji Boma Market took advantage of the girls’ conditions and coaxed them into a single block where they were being exploited with different immoralities including sexual harassments for over a week”, affirmed Kaitano.

Police has so far arrested the three men while a holding charge of Abduction has been entered as wider investigations into the matter proceeds.

The suspects Cassim Asima (20), Pilirani Lembani (19) both of Robert 4 village and Matias Banda (19) of village Karonga, all from the area of traditional authority Zulu in Mchinji will appear before court soon when investigations are concluded.

Meanwhile, the police in Mchinji is warning the general public mainly irresponsible men to refrain from exploiting young girls with different sexual immoralities. It is against the law to have sex with minors hence anybody found in coflict with this background the law will take its course.
