Donald Trump ‘the United States presidential candidate’ is actively encouraging foreign powers to hack his presidential rival Hillary Clinton, her camp says.
After Mrs Clinton refused to hand over 30,000 emails. This is part of an investigation into her private email server as they contained private details. He said on wednesday “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, I think you’ll be rewarded mightily by our press, the emails would contain some beauties”, he said.
This appeal comes as Russia was accused of hacking the emails of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for Trump’s benefit. Russia and Trump deny the allegation.
This is the first of it’s kind for presidential candidate actively encouraging a foreign power to conduct espionage against opponents, Mrs Clinton’s senior policy adviser, said.
“This is a national security issue.”
