US Air Strikes Killed Over 150 Civilians In Mosul – Amnesty International
An explosion in the city of Iraqi in the northern part of Mosul which took place last week was reported to have killed over 100 civilians.
Residents say these explosions were caused by US airstrikes which at the moment is the deadliest airstrike by the United States Arm forces on civilians.
The United States military has since carried out a thorough investigation into killing of civilians in Mosul. Speculation over the killing which may have been caused by an Islamic State truck bomb is also under investigation.
It was assumed that the truck was either hit by a US airstrike or was detonated by the ISIS near a building which was full with dozens of civilians, or were used as human shield by the terrorist group.
On Tuesday Amnesty International said that the death of civilian reveals the U.S. forces are not taking clear and adequate measures ensuring safety of civilians. Also the recent strike on Mosul on Saturday has killed over 150 civilians.
The U.S.-led coalition says it is investigating multiple strikes that resulted in civilian casualties while helping Iraqi forces drive IS militants from the country’s second-largest city.
