Police have clarified that Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba’s milling plant in Lusaka’s Industrial area was not burnt down.
On Thursday word went round that GBM milling plant had been torched with the more zealous persons laying into on political forces.
However the police have said that GBM milling was not burnt down but another company whose fire was quenched before any serious damage could be done.
Police deputy spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the police had followed up the matter closely and ascertained the facts of the matter.
Earlier in the day Mwamba who was in Copperbelt rural campaigning had said that he had received a report about his milling plant burning down but had yet to establish the authenticity of the report.
