The family of a 21-year-old boy of Kasama’s Musenga village who was gruesomely murdered by unknown people last month, wants justice to prevail.
And in Sinazongwe, a PF female supporter Pamela Chanda who was savagely attacked by suspected UPND cadres was yesterday reported to have been in a comma.
Moses Chanda was allegedly murdered by unknown people suspected to be UPND cadres at a named bar in Kasama and dragged into the bush where his body was dumped.
Mike Kasonde, the brother, said his brother was killed for nothing and demanded that justice should prevail.
Mr Kasonde narrated that on that fateful day, the deceased was at a nearby bar in Kasama on a drinking spree where an argument erupted with one of the people believed to be the owners of the bar.
He said the body of Chanda was discovered in a pool of blood.
“The boy was only 21 years and he had gone for a drinking spree with his friends and that is where they had an argument with the other group of people believed to be supporters of a named political party. Later, we only discovered that the boy was missing and only to be found dead at a nearby bush. “As a family, we managed to locate the place where he was last seen because of the trail of dotted blood until where he was dumped,” he said.
Mr Kasonde explained that Chanda was a Grade 10 pupil who was supposed to continue with his education, but that he had difficulties with finances as the family was still struggling to take him back to school.
It was reported that Chanda’s parents were not working but depended of farming as a means of earning a living.
He thanked Kasama central PF aspiring candidate Kelvin Sampa for supporting their family during the funeral and all the necessary requirements.
