AGRICULTURE Minister Given Lubinda has appealed to Zambian youths to vote for President Edgar Lungu and the PF in the polls set for August (in) because he has demonstrated his ability to build a nation under unity and love.
He was speaking on a live Power FM radio programme in Lusaka yesterday.
Mr Lubinda warned the youths that they were better off with a President who believes in the light of God compared to leaders that call on dark forces or Amaergedon.
“My appeal to the youth is that they must get out of wonderland or fantasy and choose a leader (President Lungu) who is doing things already than Dreamers,” Mr Lubinda said.
“There is no time for playing ‘Alice in Wonderland’ like my Bemba friends taught me that, “Ichintu chintu umwene not ama ‘experiments’ in the governance of the country,” Mr Lubinda said.
He said the universities mushrooming around the country, new schools and hospitals that are being constructed on a daily basis are a clear sign for the youth on whom to vote for. President Lungu who walks the walk and talks the talk.
“This election is about darkness and light,” Mr Lubinda said, “It is about President Lungu who fears God and some people that have publicly endorsed violence and Armageddon. Make no mistake about and side with the light above forces of darkness.”
Mr Lubinda said it is important for the PF to win the youth vote because they make up a huge number of the 6.1 million voters, the highest next only to women. The Kabwata aspiring candidate has made it a point to campaign against forces of darkness as compared to forces of light.
